Daria -August 2005

I only had Daria a short time. I choose her from the cat refuge when I moved out, so I could have a little friend to play with. She was amazing. She was only 6-months old and loved life. She jumped around and played as much as she could. One of the first things she did was tear up my living room curtains. She was hours of entertainment. She loved being involved in whatever was going on and followed me around the house.

Daria was also incredibly affectionate. She slept next to me every night and her purrs would send me to sleep. I only had her for a very short time when she was hit by a car outside my house just as I was pulling in. She had learned to recognize my car and was crossing the road to get home. It was one of the saddest experiences I've ever had. I loved her so much and it happened so quickly.

She was my friend, she kept me company when I was lonely and made me smile. I am so thankful she came into my life, and even for the little time I had with her she brightened it up. Thank you for being my friend Daria, I miss you.
