Gitane was our beautiful cocker spaniel. Her name means "Gypsy" in French. She lived with us from puppyhood through her senior years. Eating was definitely her favorite activity, especially human food! Here she enjoys some homemade spaghetti, garlic bread, and a glass of wine al fresco. She shows her good manners by wearing her napkin.

Gitane's best friend was our St. Bernard. He followed her around and treated her like pack leader, which was even funnier when he grew to three times her size! Often, Gitane would steal Bernard's food, until we put it on a shelf above her head. Gitane also loved our cats' food.

Discipline was not in her nature. If she ever got off her leash, she'd run as fast as she could for as long as she could in any random direction, then realize she had no clue where she was!

We will always remember our sweet Gitane.
